There's a story that involves a man who came across a bear and they were involved in a fight but this bear wasn't your ordinary bear, it was a mind reading bear. Each time they fought the man lost to the bear because it always read his mind and the tactics he was anticipating on using against the bear. To defeat the bear the man had to make a move without first having to think about the move because only then the bear wouldn't know about how he was going to strike. This involved making a spontaneous move against the bear, catching the bear by surprise.
We always have great trouble when it comes to decision making because we want to make the best decisions putting into consideration all facts and factors before making the decision but we forget that the number of variables to consider for a certain decision is always infinite and no matter how much thought we put into it we cannot make an absolute decision.
Obviously, we're not to make a decision without first having some thought about it but the problem is the lack of spontaneity in the decision making process where we endlessly think about the problem without allowing our intuition to guide us when the time comes to act on that problem. This always comes from a place of not trusting ourselves to make a decision based on the current situation and understanding that any decision made is always right based on the variables and situation at that moment.
Allowing ourselves to make mistakes without necessarily feeling guilty and bad about it later because the decision we made was based on the available data and situation at that moment and not the next moment. Understanding that in the end nothing really matters not even those decisions that turned out to be right or wrong because in the grand scheme of things our individual life and what we think is so important and dear to us is just part of the impermanence of life, nothing lasts everything changes and the only constant is change itself. We're part of the energy dance that comes and goes in different forms and shapes, what's most important is being in the moment to enjoy the dance while it lasts in awe and wander.

This is so true. Even more pronounced in the 'Amazon age" where I find myself checking reviews before I buy a set of pens online. Can't even make such silly, basic decisions without needless agonising! I will share a link to this in my Sunday round up newsletter and will subscribe to read more.
