I think man's original sin of identifying more with the physical dimension of himself at the expense of the spiritual dimension is the root cause of all this unnecessary pointless wars, pain, suffering and exploitation of nature from time immemorial. We’re a coin that only recognises and identifies with one side of the coin not realizing that a coin cannot be a coin without the heads-tails.
Man feels like he’s an alien on the planet busy exploiting it not realizing he’s the leaves that grow out of a tree and not a bird that rest on a dead old tree, he seems not feel that he goes together with his environment and that the physical environment is nothing but an extension of his physical body. He’s another organism in the natural environment but busy thinking he’s some special humans wanting to control, own and exploit other animals, plants and minerals not realizing he’s busy committing controlled suicide day by day by destroying the deeply woven ecosystem.
The void is precisely the world of form and form is precisely the void, the physcial and the spiritual go together. Until man wakes up and embraces his spiritual dimension and feels his basic inseparability from existence he'll continue fighting for nothing and destroying himself.
Wars have always been there, the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Chinese all waged war for conquest and other interests but in the modern war scene there's advanced technology and nuclear weapons and it'll not be long before man annihilates himself. Man is the most intelligent creature as far as we know but he's the cancer in the natural environment all animals and plants suffer because he's awake but deeply asleep. Championing for universal enlightenment/cosmic consciousness is our only hope of saving ourselves from ourselves if we're sincere.

Extremely well written and spot on. D
