Most of us have been born and raised in different parts of the world with different social structures, political structures, different cultures, different religious beliefs and for the most part all this has influenced how we view the world and reality in general. We're born and as we grow old and become conscious of ourselves and our external environment we start analysing the external world asking ourselves questions of how it came to be, how are we here, what is death, what happens when we die, and we turn to the aldults and they give different explanations mostly based on religious beliefs in Hermeticism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Daoism, Zen, Jainism, Judaism and others according to the religious background we’ve been born in. Some of this religions having a more philosophical approach like Daoism, Zen, Buddhism and others having a belief system of a creator like hinduism believing in Shiva, christianity in God, islam in Allah.
Existence in itself is profound, mind blowing and unimaginablely complex and intelligent and there's no doubt whatever is behind it is an intelect beyond human intelect and we can’t get answers that we desperately seek so we hope finding the intelect behind existence will give us those answers. What is it that is God? Is God an old gentleman with a long beard sitting up there in the sky observing each and everyone’s deeds and thoughts? What do you expect to find when you’re seeking or in simple terms what idea of God do you hold?
Almost all religions promise immortality, redemption from pain and suffering and everlasting peace in union with God to the seeker but the moment one has this mindset of finding God to improve himself he has already blocked that possibility because God is not something you can find, it is like trying to beat your own heart or grow your hair, or pump your blood, this is something that happens by itself and for that reason when you try to look for or find God you block that possibility because you get in your own way. You can only find God when you realise you cannot do it, it has to happen by itself because you’re already it and you cannot find what you already are, you can only have a realization of being it, you are what you're desperately looking for only wearing a mask that conceal it. This mask is the false idea of yourself that is not yourself that you’ve identified with, your name, race, nationality, family, body which is an accumulation of food, your thoughts and emotions that come and go. Do you not know that your body is the temple of God and the spirit of God dwells in you.
We were all born in the image of God and therefore we are all god but accumulated everything that is not God concealing our true identify and we need to peel of this false accumulation to go back to our original form. When we’ve stopped identifying with the wrong us then the dormant source of life within us naturally blossoms and becomes alive and we get absorbed in it in bliss, peace and feeling our immortality beyond death. You already have it, it’s not a question of believing or disbelieving in anyone, any religion, any ideology or any philosophy it’s just a matter of letting go of your false identity.
That which is the source of life (Allah, the Dao, God, Shiva, the ground of being) is in us and is us, we cannot know it because it is us and we cannot be the subject of our own knowledge, just like you cannot touch the tip of your own finger with the tip of your own finger or bit your own teeth with your own teeth, we can only get fully absorbed in it becoming one with existence. We hold magical ideas about finding God, expecting something magical to happen in our quest while in reality to find God is simplely the change of man’s sensation from the sensation of “ I a stranger and afraid in a world I never made” a sensation of feeling like an alien on the planet, a sensation of feeling like being a separate self in nature to the sensation of feeling One with all of existence, waking up to the realization that the external physical world is an extension of man’s own body. What man breathes out the trees breath in and what the trees breathe out man breathes in.
