For most people religion has been a great spiritual foundation but it's a kindergarten that gives you spiritual foundation but doesn't grow you further you become stagnant, remaining in spiritual kindergarten in one’s entire life if one doesn’t seek further by themselves. For centuries this has been the case with religion and religion's major role has been providing a basis for societal morals and behaviour but not providing the spiritual nourishment that people desperately seek.
Only the mystical sects of religion that is, christian mysticism in christianity and sufism in islam and others provide realible insights that can help in true human transformation that main stream religion promises but fail to deliver time and again. This sects are often suppressed because they advocate for personal knowledge, experience and union with the source of life (God) which challenge the authority of the religion in being the guide and institution through which one is supposedly going to get transformed but sincere and true seekers rarely find that which is the Truth from religion because it is vague and only provides basics on the spiritual subject which is so unfortunate.
There’s no doubt that Jesus was a powerful and profound mystic who sought to awaken the masses to the true nature of their being according to the writings associated with him, but often times Jesus the person and messiah is confused and mixed up with the Christ energy (prana/kundalini energy in hinduism, the chi in chinise) within us that awakens when we've gotten rid of that false image we hold about ourselves that is not ourselves, that is, the name that is the means of identification among people, our association with our career, our association with our race, nationality, family, the thoughts and emotions that come and go but we think is us, our body that is an accumulation of food we've eaten over time it’s not us. All this false identity is the barrier to the awakening of the sleeping christ energy within us. Do you not know your body is the temple of God and the spirit of God dwells in you.
Jesus is not the pedestalized son of a monarchical higher power as religion tries to portray him but a very powerful and profound mystic who’s Christ’s energy within had risen and he felt his Oneness with everything and that he was god because he was made in God's image and he wanted to pass on this message to other people so that they too can not only know but feel that they are god.
Christ does not refer to Jesus rather it is the dormant energy that rest within every human being and can be raised through sincere and not serious seeking, when the Christ within us rises we become One with everything, you awaken to the authentic sensation of every human and the external physical world being you, an extension of your own body. We transcend our physical boundaries of sensation and we feel everything being a part of us, we feel our soul's immortality and the Eternal Oneness in bliss and peace without fear of physical death. This is our true authentic Self.
Mysticism saved my spirituality… we must never lose the sense of awe and wonder, the knowledge that we don’t and can’t know everything about God - but we can commune with God all the same.
Beautifully put. D
