Row row row the boat gently down the stream,

Merrily merrily merrily merrily - life is but a dream

Exactly, Simon. That's a nursery rhythm song but I find it being soo relevant to grow-ups than even to the kids.

Yes Life is indeed an endless Dream a live Show a Play of the Nature what the Eastern scriptures call Leela. Seer Vasishtha used this dream analogy many times while explaining Advait aka NonDual nature of Life to his disciple Ram. Their conversation is compiled in a voluminous book called Yoga Vasishtha.

Thanks for your post explaining this ancient insight in present day context.🙏🏼

I've learnt alot from the Eastern school of thought too about the cosmic play. I appreciate you taking your time to engage, Vinod.

It is always a pleasure to share whatever useful information we humans can share with each other because ultimately we are all different expressions of the same One Indivisible Awareness Reality 🙏🏼

Couldn't agree more, and I'm so happy to find a community of persons who not only understand but resonate with this reality like yourself here on substack.

“Self that is naturally contented, calm, loving, peaceful and blissful”

I personally have to wake up to the impermanence of all states of being which include suffering and dissatisfaction. I feel mislead by promises of bliss.

I agree with you on this, Laurie. Enlightenment is alot more about seeing through the illusion of a separate us from all of existence and not a promise towards permanent states of happiness. It's true when we've seen through the veil we tend to live a more joyous life but that doesn't mean we're always in a permanent state of bliss and happiness.
